Event Details
Do you wish your prints could have better surface quality, or be more translucent? Are you overwhelmed by all the materials choices? Are you wondering whether you can sand or paint your prints? Our own co-host Rich Cameron (aka Whosawhatsis) will share printer settings, tips on new materials, and post-processing techniques to help you create amazing things. Rich developed one of the first RepRap 3D printer designs, and has been innovating ever since, collaborating on 8 books published or in progress. For example, this image is the earth/moon gravitational potential surface, from Horvath & Cameron's 2016 book, 3D Printed Science Projects. It is vase-printed in PETG. Don't know what that means? Come and find out!
Rich will talk from 7:30-8 or so. Before and after that, we will have open discussion and networking. Bring a cool print or a machine you're working on, or feel free to come even if you're just wanting to know what the technology looks like and what it can do. Thanks as always to our host, the fabulous Supplyframe DesignLab.
