Scientists seek to dissect biological circuits for communication between the gut microbiota and nervous system, toward understanding fundamental biological pathways that influence brain and behavior. Microbiome treatments hold promise for treating many disorders including Asthma, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis and Autism.
