The City of Pasadena is one of a few cities with its own health department in the state of California. To monitor the spread of the pandemic, the department have strategies on determining what's necessary for the city's safety including understanding the timeline, how COVID spread, and best methods to reduce the spread.
Join Dr. Ying-Ying Goh, MD, MSHS to talk about COVID-19 and how she is observing on Wednesday, October 28 at noon.
You may submit your questions when you register through Eventbrite or ask during the event. All questions submitted by Monday, October 26th at noon will be shared with Dr. Goh prior to the event.
About Dr. Ying-Ying Goh: Dr. Ying-Ying Goh, MD, MSHS, is the Director and Health Officer of the City of Pasadena Public Health Department and a board-certified pediatrician. She previously served in various roles at the Health Department, including Health Officer and Deputy Director, and Medical Director for Programs and Research, securing grant funding and managing programs addressing chronic disease, including improving health outcomes for seniors with diabetes and also childhood obesity prevention. Her professional experience includes clinical pediatric practice; management of a California Endowment task force to improve healthcare access and quality in Los Angeles County; and community-based participatory research to improve nutrition and physical activity for youth.
Dr. Goh earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Policy at Stanford University, a Doctor of Medicine Degree at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and a Master of Health Services Research Degree from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She completed pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Boston/Harvard University and Boston Medical Center/Boston University.
