April 29, 2020 7:00PM - 8:30PM — Pasadena 3D Printing Meetup

Creating metal 3D prints with a low-cost printer

Event Details

We will be continuing to take advantage of the fact that we can have speakers from afar while we are running the meetup virtually. We'll also run a little more often while we are all eager for some connections.

This virtual meetup will feature Mike Daniels of The Virtual Foundry (https://www.thevirtualfoundry.com) speaking to us from their headquarters in Wisconsin. The Virtual Foundry makes high-metal-content filament that is a mix of metal and plastic. A heat-only process (requiring a programmable furnace) removes the plastic and sinters a metal part. For the first part of the meeting Mike will tell us what they are up to. We'll then give some updates about what we know about community activities and events, and give some opportunities to some of you to share as well.

People who RSVP will get the link about an hour before, and we will limit the total to 50 online, first come first served, to keep discussion manageable. To get a link you will need to register (no +1s, unless they are sitting next to you).
