April 01, 2022 8:30AM - 10:00AM — Friday Morning Coffee Meetup

Braid Theory: Jim Cooper & Ann Carpenter - The Blue Economy

Event Details

Summary: The Blue Economy–like the oceans–has a far deeper impact on our everyday lives than most people recognize. It is a cross- and multidisciplinary business ecosystem and encompasses technologies found in industries from agriculture and food, water, energy, life science, aerospace, transportation, shipping, logistics, fisheries, aquaculture, to construction. Braid Theory, based in San Pedro, will tell the story of not only building awareness, but launching an armada of companies through an incubator in a private/public partnership (because the ocean is vast!) with a disciplined process that manages value inflection from inception to exit.
