Hack for Pasadena comprises two days of open sourced talks and hands-on problem solving, to re-imagine the way the web, applications, technology, and community participation will shape the future of Pasadena. Hack for Pasadena will make available a variety of datasets from the city’s Information Technology Department. Anyone can pitch an idea to solve a real problem with technology at Hack for Pasadena.
At the core of CONNECT Weekend are the difference makers and disruptors who are changing the way we live, work and play. What better way to do this than to participate in Hack for Pasadena, a CONNECT anchor event that will be held on Saturday, March 15 & Sunday, March 16 at Pasadena City College. Hack for Pasadena comprises two days of open sourced talks and hands-on problem solving, to re-imagine the way the web, applications, technology, and community participation will shape the future of Pasadena. Hack for Pasadena will make available a variety of datasets from the city’s Information Technology Department. Participants will gain access to financial datasets ranging from city budget and expenses to purchase orders and payments, transportation datasets like traffic counts and aggregate parking data and other datasets including city census and GIS files. Additional datasets are being gathered and will be announced via the Hack for Pasadena website. Anyone can pitch an idea to solve a real problem with technology at Hack for Pasadena.
