Event Details
It's the New Year so it is a good time to think about keeping the WordPress site safe and secure. Because you don't think your website is a target to hackers usually means it is ripe for the picking.
Fortunately, we have Kathy Zant from Wordfence, a leading WordPress security plugin, to come in and speak about general security guidelines and tools to keep a website safer from potential threats. She will discuss things like botnets and why hackers infiltrate vulnerable websites. Then go over ways to keep the website safer. It is going to be an evening of education and take-away's to ensure that a WordPress website is safe moving forward.
The presentation might run a little longer than usual (30+/- minutes). Please come with any security related questions or concerns that might be weighing on you for 2019.
As usual, look for a sign on the Cross Campus door to upstairs. There should be a phone number on it to text if you need access. Look forward to seeing everyone. If you can't make it, we understand, we all get busy.
