Event Details
Our kickoff meeting for the fall season will feature a talk by our own Rich "Whosawhatsis" Cameron about non-planar printing. A 3D print normally breaks the object up into a series of flat layers parallel to the build plate, but bending those layers into different shapes would create some unique possibilities. Rich will discuss the various methods that have been tried for creating prints with non-planar layers, their advantages, and the challenges involved. After that, as always we'll have our usual time for chatting, interacting and sharing projects.
To get a link you will need to register. We will close registration and send out the Zoom link to people who RSVP for the event a few hours ahead of time. This is a shared event with 3D Printing LA; please RSVP on one group or the other, but not both.
