Event Details
3D printing starts with a design. What if you could look at your designs at life-size scale, in the real world before committing time and resources to print or manufacture them? Thanks to an augmented reality platform developed at NASA JPL for early-stage spacecraft design, this is now possible! Tony Valderrama, a former NASA engineer, will share the ProtoSpace instant-prototyping project, now a commercial spinoff, Clarvoyant (https://clarvoyant.com). Tony is the co-founder and CTO of Clarvoyant, which is democratizing access to 3D data and accelerating the design process for hobbyists and industry alike.
Demos of Clarvoyant Studio, a holographic design and collaboration experience, will be available before and after the talk.Tony will talk from 7:30-8 or so. Before and after that, we will have open discussion and networking. Bring a cool print or a machine you're working on, or feel free to come even if you're just wanting to know what the technology looks like and what it can do. Thanks as always to our host, the fabulous Supplyframe DesignLab, and to Innovate Pasadena for refreshments.
