Featuring beer, prizes, and scientific talks! All events are free and open to the public.
Astronomy on Tap is a nation-wide phenomenon where professional astronomers give informal talks in local bars on a variety of scientific topics followed by lots of discussion and interaction with the public. Each event consists of two 10-15 minute talks on some aspect of astronomy/astrophysics with broad appeal. In the intermission between talks, the scientists present roam around the bar, interacting with members of the public, and answering questions. Additionally, there is an astronomy quiz ongoing throughout on the screens, with cool astrophysics and NASA prizes for those interested. Our host bar, Der Wolfskopf offers attendees special Astronomy on Tap happy hour prices on a variety of food and drink items throughout our event. For Info
