NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge is coming to Pasadena!

By Joe Brisbois — March 17, 2015
Technologists, scientists, designers, educators, developers and students from across the globe will participate in the 2015 International Space Apps Challenge April 11-12th. You can join them at the newly opened Cross Campus where Pasadena will serve host to the NASA-based event. The 2015 Space Apps Challenge is a two-day hackathon event taking place this April 11th and 12th. Teams comprised of our local talent will collaborate and engage with publicly available data to design innovative solutions that address global needs affecting both life on earth and in space. This year participants will select from 35 challenges in four themed-areas: Earth, Outer Space, Humans, and Robotics as they compete for local prizes and global awards that include an opportunity to attend a NASA launch. Space Apps Challenge events will take place simultaneously in over 140 cities around the world, with 2015 marking the first appearance of Pasadena on this global stage. The Pasadena event will take place at the new Cross Campus facility beginning at 9am on Saturday morning. Attendance is free and registration is open now.
