Evolution Robotics and GonnaBe Split Grand Prize;
CloudSponge selected as People’s Choice Winner
October 23, 2015 (PASADENA, Calif.)—Innovate Pasadena awarded three Los Angeles companies for their perseverance in turning early failures into ultimate triumphs in the Epic Failures Competition. A five-member panel of judges reviewed entries from five Los Angeles-based technology companies, each chronicling the story of their “Epic Failure” with a two-minute video and a short questionnaire.
Impressed with the tremendous value gained from each story of failure and valuable lessons learned, the judges opted to split the grand prize awarding the title of Epic Failures Competition Winner 2015 to both Evolution Robotics and GonnaBe. At an awards presentation during the Connect Week Level Up! Block Party on Thursday, October 22, Evolution Robotics took home the enviable Golden Cup trophy and GonnaBe, was awarded a cash prize of $5,000. After a one-week public voting campaign CloudSponge was conferred the title of Epic Failures Competition People's Choice Winner 2015.

Attendees at the Level Up! Block Party enjoyed bratwurst and video games in the spirit of celebrating entrepreneurship in the region. Innovate Pasadena also hosted more than 40 collaborator events as part of Connect Week 2015.
Connect Week featured gatherings from more than 35 collaborators ranging from kids learning to networking, to drone video making, bioscience and more! Connect Week events began on Sunday, October 23 and continued through Sunday October 25.
