Have you ever wondered how your company can tap into millions of dollars awarded annually in government contracts? As part of CONNECT Weekend, the Los Angeles County Business Technology Center (BTC) and Sachs Management, Inc. (SMI) are presenting a free workshop in government contracting to help you jumpstart and grow your business. The workshop, along with a complementary lunch, will be held on Friday, March 14th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BTC located at 2400 N. Lincoln Avenue in Altadena. Government contracting is a major market for tech companies with over $400 billion awarded annually in contracts at the federal, state and local levels. In order to compete for contracts tech start-ups need to understand the government: who the players are, how products are purchased, and where to go to find out what opportunities exist. Additionally, it is important to know how to get your products into the system, not to mention navigate red tape. BTC and SMI will offer you invaluable trade tips for other methods of contracting (Prime Contractors) and introduce workshop participants to the Los Angeles County Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) who can assist in registration, teaming agreements, and other government resources. Through this workshop participants will walk away with a better understanding of the capabilities of local companies and begin crafting a strategy to bring together teams and market regional resources to government end users. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity during CONNECT Weekend to network and discover resources that will help you grow your business. And you thought there was no such thing as a free lunch!
