Andrea Belz, the Director of the National Science Foundation Innovation Node - Los Angeles, serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence (Technology) at the Marshall School of Business, the Viterbi School of Engineering, where she is also the Academic Director for the Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Dr. Belz is Managing Director of Kinetic Intelligence, an intellectual property strategy consultancy and has previously guided strategic planning for world-class innovators including Avery Dennison, BP, California Institute of Technology, CVI Melles Griot, Korea Institute for the Advancement of Technology, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Occidental Petroleum, and UCLA, as well as many venture capital firms and university startups. She currently serves on the boards of technology incubator ITUS, Caltech spinoff laser manufacturer Ondax (where she serves on the Executive Committee), and data analytics company Sendify. She holds a B.S. in physics from the University of Maryland at College Park, a Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. in finance from the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business.
